Midwife & Doula Directory

A free place for families to find home birth midwives and doulas near them.

Once you've decided on a home birth, the next question is usually the hardest one: who do we call? We're building a free directory of home birth midwives and doulas so families can find someone in their area.

What makes this directory different

Every listing will include the midwife's or doula's own answer to one question: How do you include partners in your care? Other directories tell you where someone practices. This one will also tell a nervous husband what it will be like to work with them, and how they'll help him show up for his wife.

What each listing will include

  • Name, credential, and practice name
  • Where they're based and the areas they serve
  • Whether they attend home births
  • Website and contact details
  • Their answer to how they include partners

Midwives and doulas: add your practice

Listings are free. We're collecting them now and will open the directory once each region has enough practitioners to be useful to families.

Families: want to know when it opens?

Join the email list and we'll let you know when the directory goes live. In the meantime, here's what midwives and doulas actually do, and the questions worth asking when you interview one.

A listing in this directory is not an endorsement. Families should confirm each practitioner's credentials and licensing in their own state or country before hiring anyone.
