Longer bio
Noah Jenks is a husband, a father of four, and a former home birth skeptic. He and his wife, Katie, came to parenthood three very different ways: an adoption, two hospital births, and one home birth. Their youngest daughter was born in a warm tub in their bedroom, and it was the first time Noah understood what people mean when they say birth is beautiful.
Go Boil the Water is the book he wishes someone had handed him before that night. It draws on his own experience and on questionnaire responses from husbands, birth mothers, midwives, and doulas. Before writing the book, Noah served as a Head of School and spent six years teaching middle school humanities. He and his family live nomadically, traveling slowly through new countries and communities.
